The Loud Silence of September

Fall came and leaves drifted.

Night fell, and the rain stopped

The city got silent, and the lights turned off

I became quiet, but the thoughts stayed loud

As if autumn intensifies imprints

Loud and unripe summer

Melts into

Lengthy and burdened fall

The rain purifies the thoughts

The leaves scatter memories

But the indispensable is left

Unreturned

Like leaves drifting and rain falling,

September takes

But never gives back.
